How to migrate local tags for files to new global tags
This article is dedicated to customers whose GroupCamp accounts were created before April 2015. It explains how to migrate local Files app tags to new global tags.
How to migrate local tags being used in the Files app
Tags used to be local for each project. We have provided a way to migrate local tags with new ones that are shared by all projects.
Important: Please feel free to contact the support team if you need help or wish to do any operations that we have not foreseen with this mechanism.
Go to the Admin panel and click on the Tags icon.
When the Migrate tags button is present (see the screenshot above), this means that you have at least one active or archived project containing documents with tags.
Click on the Migrate tags button.
The Migrate tags window lists active and archived projects with tags and the number of tagged documents (in parentheses).
For each project, decide if you want to:
Migrate the tags
The project's tags become global. You can now reorganize your tags and consolidate duplicate ones in a new window for managing tags.
Do nothing (Default value)
The tags are not migrated. You can come back to this window at a later time.
Delete
Tags applied to files are deleted. They are not migrated.
Click on OK to apply your choice.
